Vantara LinkedIn Session Sync Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the Vantara LinkedIn Session Sync Chrome extension.

1. Single purpose

The Vantara LinkedIn Session Sync extension connects a customer-selected LinkedIn account to Vantara and performs that customer’s scheduled LinkedIn outreach actions inside the signed-in Chrome browser.

2. Data the extension accesses

The extension may access:

  • LinkedIn session/authentication state needed to confirm locally whether the user is signed in on LinkedIn
  • LinkedIn profile pages and messaging responses needed to execute and verify customer-configured outreach actions
  • extension configuration and temporary execution state stored locally in the browser, such as the scoped worker token and an unconfirmed completion record

The extension is not intended to collect browsing history or website content unrelated to the customer-configured LinkedIn outreach workflow.

3. How data is used

The extension uses this information only to:

  • confirm LinkedIn authenticated session status
  • receive an account-bound scheduled action from Vantara
  • perform the action inside the customer’s signed-in LinkedIn browser session
  • verify and report action completion, failure, or retry state to Vantara

4. Data sharing

The extension sends account readiness and action-result data to Vantara. LinkedIn authentication cookies stay in the browser and are not uploaded to or stored by Vantara.

We do not sell personal information.

We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension’s single purpose.

We do not transfer user data to third parties except as necessary to operate Vantara, comply with law, or protect against fraud, abuse, or security threats.

5. Parties that may receive data

Data may be received by:

  • Vantara
  • infrastructure or hosting providers used to operate Vantara
  • security, compliance, or support providers acting on Vantara’s behalf when necessary to provide the service

6. Local storage

The extension uses browser storage for the scoped worker token, account identifier, last sync status, and a temporary action-completion record used to prevent lost or duplicated results after browser or network interruption.

7. Retention

Data transmitted to Vantara is retained only as needed to provide account connection, account status refresh, operational support, security, and related business or legal requirements.

8. Security

Data transmitted by the extension is sent over secure connections. We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards designed to protect data against unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.

9. Your choices

You can stop collection by disabling or uninstalling the extension and disconnecting the LinkedIn account from Vantara.
